ASO workflows to improve an app positioning in Google Play
How to leverage ASO insights to improve an app rankings in Google Play.
This is the seventh entry of this ASO series.
In the former posts, I´ve reviewed how to retrieve app Keywords Rankings and app profile data from Google Play, analyze this information and get insights from it. I´ve also detailed how to deploy an automated report tool and schedule it.
Now, it is time to share some tips on how to create a workflow to improve a target app positioning based on the daily ASO data duly retrieved, analyzed, and reported.
The workflow
Here you go my working list:
According to my scripts schedule, my keyword charts and scorings including pair replacements should be ready in my telegram group by the time I wake up. I review the target app positioning evolution by tracked keywords every day.
Once a week, I update the target app Google Play description (and sometimes, title) with the keyword replacement proposals (keeping a keyword density between 2-4%). I also update the target app tracked keywords in the code for the script to follow changes and report properly.
Once a month, if the weekly updates did work, I update the screenshot messages in Google Play including the new tracked keywords I´ve managed to position for in the screenshot message texts.
Once every three months, I review the whole bag of keywords used to track the target app rankings. For the porpose of having new high-relevancy keywords, I use a competitors´ keyword finder utility script that I might share in the future.
In my next entry I will share more details on the motivations to run ASO scripts to improve an app organic positioning.
I will also explain a bit more on the terms used in the ASO utility scripts, and why I´ve chosen to run these scripts on my own rather to go for a third party tool.
